Hi all!

I recently was given a '70 (Dec. '69 production) Honda SL 350 to play with. Been sitting since 1982 and only 14K miles on it.

I know I should buy a work shop manual but....first question is how much oil in the front forks?

The original forks are a set of 33mm (are they an early version and rare or not?) but since the tubes are rusty, I bought a set off Greedbay for only $40! But they are 35mm and lucky for me they came with the triple clamps. But the seller remove the oil (cause one seal was leaking.... Rolling Eyes )

So before I put the new set on I'm changing the fork seals. But what is the correct amount of fork oil CC's or oz's needed for them?

More later on....

Thanks for any help.

Here are both Honda Shop Manuals.
The info you seek lies within.....

Your SL 350 K0 is essentially the same engine as other 350's. SL K1 and K2 made changes to the engine, frame, and forks, etc.

350 Manual - 1974, includes SL

350 Manual - Early

Thanks, 200cc

Any video links to how to sync these carbs? I was thinking of using my ACVW tool to try that....

Next question: How to change out the Honda OEM right hand throttle to a standard after market Throttle without the threaded boss with switches? I want to run a regular aftermarket 7/8" handle bars too.

I was thinking of running the thru the bar wires, shorten them up and a switch plate some where back by the former air cleaner box or the key switch area.
Any ideas? Wink

Dang, I hate when I do that kind of stuff......turn upside down the dead old forks (couldn't have much oil left in them but...) to drain out in my metal funnel with HD plastic container. Walk away and was working and hear a small crash...you guess it, it tipped over and I now have 2 gallons of old oil on my driveway..... Embarassed
