Rolling Eyes
A number of issues have come up since I last posted. I had the oil changed and it was full of gold colored sparkles. I was advised NOT to ride the bike to avoid any damage. I also discovered the carbs on my 350 came from a 250 Rolling Eyes

I've spent a few days trying to find a shop to work on the CB engine, no luck. In fact two shops told be to sell parts off the bike instead Twisted Evil . I have a lead in St. Pete let's see how that goes…There are a bunch of shops in Daytona which I'll visit over the weekend.......

Any comments on post? Anybody from Central Florida know a reliable shop or mechanic?

Oh the problem isn't only in central Florida, it's pretty hard to find anyone to work on older bikes. Many of these bikes are older than the techs in the shop, and many of the techs don't know anything points and condenser ignitions. The parts can be hard to find and sometimes the cost of repair at normal shop rates will exceed the value of the bike. If you want ride an older bike, it would be a good idea to learn how to work on them yourself.

Most shops will quote you an outrageous price, mainly because they just don't want to work on it at all.
Too hard to get parts, and the bikes were built before their "mechanics" (I use the term loosely) were even born....
