Battery is fully charged, lights turn on, but when I press the start button all I hear is a click (starter motor I believe) and nothing else happens.
Just so happens that a couple of weeks ago I had some electrical issues with the connector coming from the Regulator Rectifier going to / from the starter motor. I had fixed it and had the bike running, but after I stopped riding the bike wouldn't start again.
Since then, I have had the battery on a charger (it appears to be holding its charge) and I'm thinking that the Regulator Rectifier has gone bad. Lights, horn everything else still turn on, but no action past the starter as far as I can tell.
Anyone deal with this before? Would a bad Regulator Rectifier cause the bike to not even start? Just click at the starter motor?
On a side note, I DID try jumping the battery, still did the same thing...
On another side note, if you have a regulator rectifier (preferably the sh222-12) you're willing to part with let me know!

I think I do along with an electrical harness, starter, etc. Have you checked the other electrical componets, i.e. reserve lighting unit? If they do go bad they can wreck havoc with ignition. But there is someone on here who did work for Kawaskai when those bikes were new as a tech. Give him sometime and he should be able to help you.

Regulator/rectifier will have no effect on starting the bike. Only the battery condition and the wiring to the starter switch, starter relay, relay itself, or the heavy wire going to the starter or a bad starter. Start looking in those area's for a loose or dirty connection. Those wires that you repaired, if they were connected to the rectifier did not go to the starter but most likely the alternator.
