I've posted before about the privilege I have of the joy of giving kids a sidecar experience.Beautiful late spring day today and at one school here in town 28 6 yr olds and their teacher all got to have their first ever ride in a chair. The little kids can sit together on the one adult bucket seat and the giggles are so good for the soul. I tell them to communicate with me by hand signals. THumbs up means they are comfortable and want to go faster. Thumbs down means "slow down please" and I tell them that both hands making a capital T means "get me to a toilet fast!" We've needed that signal more than once...for adult women.
Late in the day I had the absolute pleasure of a 70 km ride over undulating ,tightly winding , sealed road out a tiny 7 pupil country school. The oldest and the youngest pupils got cold feet at the last minute. The other 5 couldn't get enough, all having two rides and one managing to con us into a third! The chair at road speed is very tricky to get around corners when there is no load in the sidecar but after a 70 km ride out there you get in the groove and the 70 km back was pure bliss.I love this time of year!

Nah, if the sidecar was on the right (correct) side of the bike everything would be alright....except maybe it has something to do with the fact that he's south of the equator and the centrifical force spins the wrong way 'cause he's actually upside down.........being down under and all. Laughing Wink
