Hi all,

I purchased a 1975 GT185 yesterday to learn how ride a motorcycle on, and while cleaning it up today I discovered a drilled hole that looks like it should have something in it. Neither my dad or I could figure it out and I'm hoping someone could identify what it is from the pictures below (click to view a full-screen image.)

Thanks

I have the same bike with nothing filling the hole I would say the drain for the carbs is prolly right.

Sorry for my ignorance but does this mean it empties out onto the ground? I'm sure some water must have gone in there while I was cleaning it up before I noticed and thought I hope that hole isn't supposed to be capped.

Thanks again

It drains through to the ground. It is for exactly what has already been said....washing, and/or gas from the carbs.
