My Nextel is GPS capable but I have a Garmin and do not have the Nextel GPS activated and that tracker of yours can still track my phone while it is on.
I do not like the idea of being tracked when I am out doing my business. _________________ Ray #1

Some networks will report the phone as off this way, not good if you want to avoid a call.
Better to wrap it in aluminum foil first so that the phone will lose the signal from the cells, THEN, you can turn it off
Otherwise remove the batteries with the phone on.
