Got the petcock issue fixed, it is amazing how well the wave washer works when you put in the correct position. Now just have to get the back break conversion done. tim

Those aren't the stock wheels, are they? Spokes were stock? Or did they come with mags by '74?
Either way, it sure looks nice!
How does it run? How does it ride?
And, I know this is probably about the furthest thing from your mind when riding an RD, but I've always been kinda curious about what kind of fuel mileage they get. Any idea yet?

I learned the finer points of street riding on the exact same year RD, a good bud in high school talked his folks into buying him a brand new RD for "school transportation".....riiiiiight....! Never turn a 16 year old loose on one of those.........this bike was also very good at wheelies too. _________________
