Mr Site administrator,
Please conatcat me re the fraud posting I have tried to post and which you are blocking from being posted. My details were obtained off this website, and I have alerted the police to the activities of Morris Goodwill from the UK, and have specifically advised the police and the FBI that he used this website for finding victims. If you want a copy of the police report please advise. Either way, you have a responsibility to protect your members/users from this thief, and my posting needs to be allowed to be read by everyone on the site. Otherwise there will be others.
Regards
Al Gill

Does anyone take responsibility for their own actions anymore?

So let’s see. You publicly posted your email address and phone number on a message board rather than have people contact you via the site PM system.

Then you fall for one of the oldest scams in the book missing all of the blatantly obvious signs like the fact that the guy was using a disposable Gmail account and obviously made up name. Morris "Goodwill?" LOL. You must be kidding.

Then you email me a rant accusing me of blocking your posts when in fact I have never even bothered reading any of your posts and don’t know you from Adam and start demanding IP information on somebody that isn’t even a member here. Not that I would give you that information even if I had it.

Then you start polluting the board with your rants complete with not so veiled threats about local and federal law enforcement about how it’s MY responsibility to protect you from yourself.

Consider this a first warning. If you continue down this road you will be rewarded with a "time out" from the board.

I don’t do babysitting.

Thanks,

Dave

OH OH OH OH OH can I? should I? screw it im gonna anyway, even IF it gets me in trouble!
you should also consider it a rather expensive lesson as far as scams are concerned. I might add that we're going to use you as an example of what NOT to do as far as a scam and fraud goes.

Mr. Admin, (aka dave) youd better NOT have to do babysitting, and if you have to start, perhaps its time to run for government! if ONLY there was a facebook style "like" button on here!

OK... so... lessons we have learned today about this.
#1 when shipping parts overseas, use a GOOD carrier with international locations such as UPS, DHL, or FED EX, and THEY take care of ANY customs issues that may arise (this is coming from an air freight shipper) you may still have to pay fees however the CARRIER will contact you, not the seller
#2 when ordering parts from someone new to you, its PROBABLY best to use pay-pal (not that im a fan) after you begin to trust them, take it where youre comfortable. (ive dealt with a few people on here that i trust to do the right thing in transactions)
#3 be suspicious of throw away email addys (im kind of guilty of this as well, but i have reasons Ill hapilly tell people) yahoo, hotmail, gmail are the three biggest scam generators.
#4 posting private information on a public forum is probably not smart (can i have your bank routing information as well?)
#5 if you dont get pix of the stuff (demand time stamped pix if need be) it probably isnt real
#6 the only way the site owners must give up IP info is through a court order, and in some instances, its impossible to get the IP you are looking for (non member looking at a page with your private info is logged, just like the other 10,000 hits he had that day, but which one was it?)

AND NOW MY FAVORITE

#7 dont F**K with the admin!

Hey when I sell stuff I always have pics of the stuff. More pics if someone asks about a particular part. This is very crucial with things like seats and gas tanks. When I am shipping parts my preferred shipper is either USPS,UPS or FEDEX and in most cases the person recieving the parts will have to sign for the package. Before you buy parts from anyone (and this includes me) ask if they will give you a confirmation/tracking number, or ask that it be sent signature required. This will help seperate the honest sellers from the dishonest ones.

Mr admin and anyone else who wants to add their two cents worth...............
All I asked for was to have my original post put on the site so that others were warned about this scam. I take full responsibility for my actions and error in not catching the scam, and Im the one out the $. Once again, all I asked for was the original post to be put up, that was all. And all I asked for at that stage was a response!!!
Lastly, I made no threats about involving the Police with this site. I have made a formal complaint to the FBI scam site, the Canadian and UK Police, that was all.
If Ive offended then so be it, but I stand by my original request that all I wanted was for my original post to be put up so that others were alerted, that was all. Oh and a response from the administrator!

I transact lots of business across virtually every continent and this was my first scam, and maybe it was so obvious that I missed it, but come what may its been a lesson learned.
