That is all. I see you over there in the 'roster'. I am afraid just idle curiosity on my part. I hate idle curiosity. Rolling Eyes What's up?

I think the last thing I saw him post was:

Fasterspider said:

My 350 engine is upside down on my bench because the transmission won't shift.

Either he's too bummed out by that, or he's too busy riding that new Honda to post. I suspect we'll hear from him again soon, once that CL is back on the road.

I don't think that 350 is going to bum him out. He is use to filleting bigger fish.

Edit: Uh oh Sad : He just logged out....must of counted to ten and given me/us a break.

I am going to buy another engine for my 350 and put the bottom end together with my top end,
When it is all together, I have to sell it.
I will be selling all of my bikes and tools as soon as I can get money for them as my health has gone south.

Don't trip on it, I did this all to myself.
I do still have a little riding left in me, just not as much as I planned on. Rolling Eyes
This is a hard decision that I am making but, it has to be done.

Good luck to you Ray. I've done some bad things to myself as well but it doesn't affect my riding just yet. Just other parts of my life but we deal with it, whatever it is. Got no choice. Regards to you, Doug

Ray,

I won't pry into your situation -- you know what's best for you. Just want to say I'm sorry to hear about your health problems, and hope things turn around for you. I have always enjoyed reading your posts on here. You have helped a lot of people.

do take care man, we all do stupid shit and end up paying for it later (i seem to be the poster child of that). sucks about your health, but well... like ya said... ya did it to yourself, and ya probably knew ahead of time what was a possibility.
hoping for a speedy recovery, but if thats not possible, i hope you're days are filled with family and friends. theres always a day we have to give up riding, it sucks to give up that big part of your life, but theres bigger things to concentrate on.

fasterspider Ray, You are an asset to this forum and we love you. Do what is best for you. If this forum gives you enjoyment, keep posting. If it does not help your mental state, don't post. Give yourself the fullest most enjoyable life that you possibly can. Tomorrow is promised to nobody. Enjoy each day. I as well got some health news to deal with. I have prostate cancer but it should be curable with surgery. Kind of a wakeup call on what is really important in life. Maybe I will never get all those stupid projects done I am working on. Oh well. With surgery over the holidays I should be just fine but it is a sobering reality. Take care and God bless you, Ray from California.

As the old saying goes and in reference to my question...."Be careful what you ask for...you may get it." Your answer to my question is not what I wanted to hear. I had no idea. You are 'fasterspider', keep your chin up, adapt and keep 'it' in gear.

I wish it would get better but, wish in one hand and shit in the other then see which hand fills up 1st.
Fear of crashing one of my beautiful bikes or screwing up on a customer's bike is not an option, so I stopped taking customer motorcycles and for the past week only ride as far as 7-11 but, I have taken the car a few times too.
I have had this problem for about 10 years but, the past couple of years have been very difficult and the last three months have been unmanagable.
I need a specialist but, I have no health insurance and 'bamacare will not be able to think about helping me until 2014. I hate 'bama and his healthcare plan.
Serious pre-existing condition due to my own hand is not something the medical profession wants to help me with and it stops me from getting a good healthcare provider.
They want me to die and stop taking up their resources for the people that do have health insurance or a lot of money.
I just want to make it through a day without any excruciating pain in my head or my digestive trac.
Yes, you could say I am a little angry about it.

That's scary, and I have lots of empathy for you. I developed renal failure just after leaving the Army and found myself uninsurable. If I hadn't gotten married and had my wife's health care plan, I would have died of kidney failure when I was 45. The VA was treating me, but there weren't any transplants at that time. I don't know what you did to yourself, but it sure doesn't sound good. Do you have any VA benefits?

Don't know if you've got what I've got but check out getting into a test trial for free at Vertex pharmaceuticals. Shorter, better cure.

I have Hep C and a few other problems.
The Hepatitus C is flaring up and the enzyme counts are out of whack according to my doctor.
I need to do the Interferon treatment and it takes 11 months and it makes you sick the whole time.
