Hello folks! I am looking to connect with other twinstar owners, I am a very proud rider of this amazing little bike and I'm sure I am not the only one, I'm particular to the '80-'82 models but I appreciate all bikes, especially Hondas and specifically <500cc Wink, I look forward to seeing the other twinstars out there, here's my '82 CM200T, Ive had it for almost three years now and I wouldn't trade it for the world! It's such a simple and reliable bike, it's also a great conversation starter and helps weed out the real bikers from the "that ain't a real bike" crowd. God I love it!

Need some replies. I have two TwinStar Hondas. Great bikes. One has just 342 original miles and is stunning perfect to the point of not even having the plastic removed from the headlight bezel chrome. The second one is my "training" bike that I teach people how to ride motorcycles and rent it out to have people take the road test on. I will post pics as I can. Never need to even choke the TwinStar, it runs so good.

Wow steve! 342 miles? I am so jealous of you, that fact that you have 2 of my favorite bike is one thing but one in such pristine condition is almost mind-boggling to me! I would really like to see pics of these, what years are they?

I just picked up an 80 Twinstar. A friend got it running then ran out of time to fool with it. I'm in the process of bringing it from running to solid condition. I changed the handle bars because I hated the stock ones. The previous owner had taken off the starter sprocket and chain so I will put that back on to make it functional. Then a rattle can paint job will be in order.

Welcome aboard, Rick.

Funny you've ressurected such a long-dead thread! Laughing

Anyway, I have a soft spot for the little Twinstars, too. I've owned two over the years, but the earlier 185cc version.

I put 10k+ miles on the first one in a year commuting 60 miles a day at 65 mpg hauling my 220-lb self and carrying my lunchbox and briefcase and pushing a plexiglas windshield. Thing never missed a beat until the countershaft seal backed out at speed and it puked all it's oil out on the ground. Locked that poor motor up tighter than a drum! Laughing Crying or Very sad

Good luck with it and again, welcome aboard!

Kirk
