Probably not, but would a coil from a GT250 X7, work on a GT250a ? I know they look different, but is the wiring the same? they appear to be a little easier to get hold of.

Looks like the X7 had PEI ( pointless electrical ignition).......... Only one coil and it would be a totally different animal. Electrical is not my strong suit but it seems I have read that some automotive coils can be used on some bikes. (size of the coils would be one factor) I would research that or see if somebody else here has another thought on it. Good luck. Do you know your coils are bad? Are you looking for new ones or used?

If it is just your spark plug wires are bad you can use these to splice on new lengths of wire up to a couple of inches from the body of the coil.....

Thank you. Smile I feel kind of bad for not asking if you had checked the coils per a manual and not saying I have found it pretty rare for a coil itself to be bad.....even more rare that both of them would be bad.
