This year, the Honda GL1000 is officially recognized by the Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA). It is time to celebrate.

I'm very pleased to announce that first series GL1000s (1975-1977) will be featured at the prestigious Quail Motorcycle Gathering on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8, 2010 in beautiful Carmel, California.

This is a great opportunity to compete in the judged concours show conducted by the Quail organizers. Most would agree that this is the most significant event of its type on the West Coast.

Also, I'm sure you all know Craig Vetter. Craig has helped organize this event. Bonus: Craig will make a special award to the best Vetter-equipped GL1000 at the event!

The GL1000 was the first of the dedicated super-touring machines from Japan. Craig Vetter's Windjammer fairings completed the package. "Back in the day," half of all GL1000s were delivered with Vetter setups. It's fair to say that the GL1000 was a key element in Craig's considerable market success.

If you live on the West Coast you must attend and show your GL1000!

Randakk will attend and enjoy the festivities! I hope to see hundreds of Randakk customers (and your GL1000s) at the event.

Many friends and customers have begged me to do a West Coast event. This is it. Make plans now!

I don't have a GL1000 but, Monterey is only 300 miles away and my wife says I never take her anywhere.
