We were on our way home from the Rock Store today when a woman made a left across a double yellow line in a blind turn and I broadsided her Bronco II and totalled my bike with a bent frame.
If it was not for the Hondaline case saver, I would have lost my 2nd CB1100R alternator.

This is the 3rd time I have had a wreck in as many years with that tank on the bike and it has not gotten a scratch.
It is the 2nd time that front wheel has been in an accident and it is still true also.
The forks and fender on the other hand are a mess.

I am feeling sick from the damned pain killer for my rebroken wrist and I want to cry like a little girl, my bike is ruined and so is my wrist.

Here is the Bronco I hit.

Here is another shot of my bike.

Thank the powers that be for designing these case savers.

She will take responsibility, I see my lawyer tomorrow.

We are all thankful you are no worse off than your broken wrist. I am glad you are somewhat OK. Hardware & motorcycles can be replaced but ourselves are much more fragile. Take care of yourself first and get that wrist back, then worry about the F. Is it the right, twisty wrist?? Hope not. PS: Get off the pain killers as soon as you can, they make you sick to your stomach and you feel like your in a fog. Yep, those forks are bent all right. Take care of yourself, Steve.

Sorry to hear about your accident and damage to person and bike! Other drivers are just deadly sometimes. Get well soon and hope you can salvage your bike somehow.

Damn, that is a shame. but it might have been much, much worse.

Really glad Laurie is OK and hope your wrist heals quickly. Confused

BTW, was your camera on when she cut you off?

That would be compelling evidence.

Oh geez Ray, that sucks! Your wrist was just getting strong again, right? Any, er...license issues? Once again I wish I was closer so I could help out somehow.

Ray, we're all glad you're OK.......the bike can be repaired but it's much harder to replace a human being. Let the POS who turned left in front of you pay for your scoot......and get a PD report.

Thanks for calling me back, at least I know you're alive, but in pain.

Get well soon. I plan on having some time off soon (we'll see how that goes) and I'll get over to see you more then. Wink

I hope you'll heal quickly Ray.

BTW, do you already have a bike drivers license?

Cheers, Joost

That's a shitty way to end the weekend. It is good you are still able to tell the tale. Heal well, and rest. All will be right with the world yet again.

I called Ray tonite as soon as I got home...He's doing as well as can be expected, But his attitude is very impressive! I'm glad your alive and not more seriously injured..And glad Laurie wasn't hurt either..Get well friend and start the new bike you'll have a little time to think it out but you seem to have a great plan started already!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Cool

Ray that whole business really sucks but it's great to hear you and laurie got out of it without any serious injuries because that's the important thing. The bikes are just things and can be fixed.

Cheers,

Dave

So I have to have surgery on Monday and I am not looking forward to it.
What sucks is I have to pay cash to the doctor, hospitol and the anesthetist. I do not have it and will be ina big hole I am not sure I will be able to dig my way out of. I have already gone in over my head but can't see any other way out.
