I just read an article , about the history of Suzuki and at one point they were talking about the glory trail and
success on the track . They said Suzuki had dominated the 50cc racing class and to answer this Honda spent big
bucks developing a 50cc twin with a redline at [UNBELIEVABLE !!] 19,700 RPM . Now taking into account the twin
thats still firing at 10 k per cylinder on points ? This is 1964 and it didn't beat Suzuki it's first year [What the H@!!
did Suzuki have ?] . This is incredible to me . Can any of you Honda guys' back this up ? Has any one seen one of
these Hondas'? And what I would love to hear is the music [ pissed off Hornets ] resonating from those chambers
at that kind of rpm . Can anyone add anything ?

50 cc RC113 and RC114 http://www.vf750fd.com/Joep_Kortekaas/honda_race_history.html

The RC113, introduced during the Japanese GP of 1963, is a twin with the same bore and stroke as the previous RC112, 33 x 29 mm for a total capacity of 49.6 cc, but now with four valves per cylinder. Total valve angle is 72 degrees, symmetrical: both inlet and exhaust valves are under an angle of 36 degrees. Ignition is by a transistorised breakerless system, with 8 mm spark plugs.

The carburettors are again the flat-slided type. This carburettor type builds shorter than the round slided type, and the very high engine speeds necessitate a very short inlet and exhaust length to achieve optimum wave tuning. Lubrication is by wet sump, and there are nine speeds in the gearbox. Power output is 13 bhp at 18,500 rpm; the red line on the rev counter is at 19,000 rpm, and short excursions to 20,000 rpm are allowed

to hear a replica try youtube (Honda RC113)
here's some more history

This is pretty incredible technology for the early 60's ! And , I wasn't aware that
Honda had 4 valve per cyl. technology in the late 50's . One set of specs. from one of
the addresses you provided , stated that they produced 15hp at 20 k rpm , weighing
next to nothing and with a 9 speed trans . Just incredible ! What was really cool is that
they made a tamer version and sold it to the public to race and a street legal version
for the public to ride on the streets . Must have been one expensive 50cc motorcycle
at the time . Thanks again Jayel for your invaluable research . Before reading that article
I would have never even considered the 50cc as a worthwhile racing class , but in the
early years of racing , it was prestigeous , as indicated by Hondas' budget on this rc project .

yeah they did some wild stuff, the 6 cylinder 250cc and the 5 cylinder 125cc are something to hear if you want to hear rpms, I think Kreidler still has a 50cc land speed record from the 60's somewhere around 140mph at Bonneville
