My brother-in-law is from Dublin and he goes every year. He tells me that there is nothing better than going into the pub, pouring a Guinness, walking outside to have a seat at a table, and have a motorcycle go by at 180 mph. I plan on attending next June. Should be fun.
The event has been run since the early 50's I think, that's quite a supply of CRAZY PEOPLE.

The Isle of Mann TT is the oldest motorcycle race in the world.
It is too scary for the MotoGP world because it is so dangerous.
It takes three years for a rider to learn the track.
A guy that rides on my favorite road, Mulholland Hwy and the surrounding canyons, Mark Miller {Not the sr71cbx Mark Miller from this web site but, another Mark Miller who is quite a few years younger and about a 100 pounds lighter} crashed a GSXR1000 on the last day of the TT this year. He walked away but, his bike disintergrated. Mark was one of the 10 Americans that went there to ride in the TT and he also got to ride the http://www.motoczysz.com/main.php?area=home while he was there.
If ever I leave the continental US, it will be to attend as a spectator, the Isle of Mann TT.

I have done some research on the oldest motorcycle race, the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race. It was started on this Island because the UK would not let roads be shut down for racing events but the Island off the shores of the UK said is would be OK. It is something like 16 miles long and goes thru stone tunnels, guard rails, cliffs, etc. I checked the records and someone gets killed there every year and in 1972 or 1973 6 riders got killed in various races or practice in different classes. They still keep having the race. Mike Hailwood won it many times on the early multi-cylinder Hondas and made a comeback in 1978 and won again. It was remarkable. Fear is not in the blood of those racers.

| While the roll of competitors killed is high the numbers of fans who died every year was even higher. Not sure if they still allow this but until recently one day each TT Week the track was opened to fans to ride around as fast as they liked. Thousand did, many with pillions. You can imagine the carnage! It was/is known as 'bloody Sunday'.

NO WAY! I had not heard this. Don't these guys have brains. I disagree but...... Here is a photo of Mike Hailwood during the 60's on a six cylinder Honda. Enjoy.

Steve, the doctor can see clear through to the other side of my head too and I would never even think of throwing my leg over a Hardley.

Hey Ray, I see you have Skype on your message. Does that mean something like we can camera each other or what?? Here is why I am asking. I am thinking about buying a laptop and want the camera and microphone in it so I can Skype. How would it work on this forum??? I dunno nothing..... I can sync carbs better than work a computer.

I actually need to goto my profile and remove the Skype because I deleted it from my computer. It took up too much space and I never used it.
If you want a camera/mic, I have a Philips in the box right here you can have for the cost of shipping.
