can anyone suggest a good sealant to use with my intake gaskets (cl350) . something that can handle the heat and is gas resistant or does anyone think i shouldn't even use sealant? have had some air leak issues and just want to put the boots back and be sure ever little nook and cranny is filled.
on a similar note i have repaired some cracks in the intake boots;i'm sure i got them all and that the repair will hold but i am looking for a new/used set.anyone got a set in decent shape? thanks

Earl,
Once those rubbers develop cracks and air leaks, they're toast. My recommendation would be to purchase a new pair of intake rubbers and gaskets from your Honda dealer or on-line. Make sure the surface on the head is perfectly clean and smooth, and install the parts with no sealant. FYI, I hope you didn't use RTV silicone rubber to repair those leaks. It's not resistant to gasoline and could get sucked into the motor.

Buy new and do not use any sealant. Unless you would like to learn how to rebuild a Honda 350 Twin. Air gets sucked into the combustion chamber and makes the engine run lean with not enough fuel mixture to coat the cylinders so metal to metal at high tempuraters is not so good for an engine. These are some of the basics. Cracked intake manifolds are a no-no for vintage bikes.
