Hey there, just thought I would let you know a little bit about me.

I'm 16 years old, and picked up my first motorbike this past winter. It was a 1978 Yamaha XS400. I have spent the whole summer fixing it up, and am finally getting close to done. I wanted it on the road this year, but unfortunately, I can't afford to insure it untill the spring (hopefully).

Pictures from when I first bought it:

Mid restoration:

And it's current condition:

My father owns a 1978 Honda CB550K4:

And my father and I are fixing up a slightly rare 1983 Suzuki GR650 Tempter (how I hate the name...). It looks like the previous owner had a bit of fun with the wiring...

But we still managed to get it running, first day!

Congratulations on all the hard work!
I've been to Brighton a bunch of times to work in Presquille for the MNR.
The ride from Ottawa was a blast on hwy 2 along the lake. Some of the side highways along rivers are nice and winding, like up to Stirling area.
Hope you get the insurance straightened out soon, cause riding on vintage bikes with your dad will build some great memories later. My dad lives in PEI so I haven't had the chance yet.
When you fix up a bike yourself you appreciate it all the more.
