It looks like the link to the Forum has been removed from the website. Now it is very difficult to get here. Please email Beth Braun the webmaster via bbraun [at] dreamqueen [dot] com and tell her to re-instate this link. We love this forum. This has been an extremely frustrating task to try and keep this forum going. Maybe I am fighting a losing cause. Should we just give up??

I got a reply from Beth Braun regarding the FORUM and she said it was requested to remove the link from the VJMC. The VJMC does not support this forum and there is no one available to maintain this forum from the club therefore it is NOT GOOD!!!! I hate to let this thing die! It is a great forum and could have been even better. Now what do we do??? Can we get a forum going? Anybody. HELP! Hello? Anybody out there in computer land?...!...!...

Steve,
I agree wholeheartedly about the forums usefulness. I don't have much time for it, but I try to participate when I can, and find it exceedingly useful. I don't know why something that is labeled for the VJMC, and was obviously a part of it for a while, would suddenly be bad and dropped like a hot potato. It appears to be yet another part of the VJMCs misguided attempts to limit member to doing only what a small group of officials think they want. I, for one, have had quite enough. This club used to be a wonderful, vibrant, helpful organization. It is no longer the same, and that fact stinks! After the Mid-Ohio episodes of the last couple of years, this is about the last straw. It will take some hard decision making before I decide whether or not to renew my membership to what appears to be becoming a group of exclusive cliches, and a dying organization as a whole.

What could possibly be bad about a forum?
Hmm. I guess if they thought it was a stray, out-of-control 'blight', that may be. But I still think it's a good thing... or could be...

Hey All,
I'm the owner of the forum. I donated it for VJMC to use as long as they want it, and as much as they want.
I originally contacted Jason Bell to offer him the forum, and he took me up on it. I guess he's not the web master anymore. You can have the new web master contact me if she wants to start using the forum again, or make it an "official" VJMC site.

Thanks.

Hi All; this forum seems to be a good thing. The problem is that currently there is no moderator/administrator. The forum cannot continue to exist without this.

In case there is some confusion; this is a public forum and is not connected in any way to the VJMC. Club officers are not responsible for the content or for monitoring the content. Club sanctioned content is on the VJMC web site. Any questions regarding club activity or policies need to be directed to an officer of the club in order to be sure you receive a reply (club officers and their contact info. are listed on the VJMC web site)

We are working to update the current forum pages to clear the confusion about who "owns" the forum.

Again; if ayone is willing to volunteer to moderate/administrate this forum; please contact me. This is a requirement for keeping the forum going!

I made a couple replies williing to take on the forum. I am not a computor guru but I thought I could make it work. I never got a reply, offer is still out there. I enjoy the forum and really think we should maintain it....no matter who offers to help keep it up and running.

Hey VJMCMBCA,
You don't need to be a guru to maintain the forum, you just have to get a feel for how it works. It's not much different from using webmail. All of the technical stuff I do, like update the message board code, and keep database backups of it.
Let me know if you end up being the moderator, and I'll give your ID more authority. Thanks.

All; My email server was down for 3 days; OK now. Re the search for a forum moderator, etc.Contact the forum owner xgregx, if you would like to volunteer to moderate/administrate.

I only joined this forum last week in order to facilitate finding a moderator/administrator. I have no knowlege of what offers or plans to do this were expressed before that.

This is all that is needed to keep the forum going.

Beth
