That guy got a hold of some really great stuff. Real hallucination ! If it were 24kt gold plated and had two super models that came with it.....then it might just get close to that price.

I know Ray Blank. He's #2 banana at American Honda. But the fact that he had a Rune painted yellow as a favor to a friend doesn't mean squat as far as value. This Rune and all others are nothing more than a styling exercise. They're huge, heavy, handle like crap, and Honda had a hell of a time selling them once word of just how big a turd they are got around. This seller has definitely been smoking some very good $hi#.

We all can agree to disagree. The Honda 1500 opposed 6 cylinder may be the best smoothest engine ever. The Valkyrie with the 6 carbs gets up and scoots. The styling on the Rune is awesome, I love it. And...one of a kind with papers to back it up make it highly collectible for people not in our tax bracket. Someone like Jay Leno may appreciate this machine and pay money like that, as to them it is only a number. Me, I could retire on that amount of money and will never see it in my lifetime. Oh well, quit whining and enjoy the eye candy. _________________ You only go around once in life, but if you do it right, once is enough! |

He withdrew it....well duh! wonder why? Maybe cause he finally came around to his senses. Probably not, cause he never had any to begin with. _________________ 74 CB 750 K4 PART OUT

I've been a little hesitant to chime in... When I first saw the Rune; I wasn't interested. The one at the local dealer sat all summer in the showroom. Finally in October of 2004, I sat down with my friend who happens to be the sales manager. We agreed on a price and the Rune made it way home.
It's true; Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, its heavy, but once under power it handles well.
Here's a pic, and yes, its for sale for only $100,000 - just kidding

I've also been hesitant to respond. When I first saw the Rune, I couldn't believe that Honda would make a bike like that.......but as time goes by, I've taken a liking to it. As I get older, I have found that I like things that are a little different........or maybe it's that my eyesite is getting worse. I also like the Suzuki M109! I like the uniquness of it.
