Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the rapidly increasing prices of things like fork oil, engine oil, chain lube, etc. I stopped into Cycle Gear today for a can of chain lube I'd been buying from them for $8.99. Thought that was bad enough. But today, it was $12.99. They've gone mostly to their own house-branded line of clothing and other riding gear. Looked at a Cordula tail pack about the size of a 28L GIVI box - $149. Crap - I just bought a Shad 45L top box w/mount plate for $157. These folks have just about run me off for good!

Things are indeed going up. I was in fact told this about 6 months ago by a Tucker Rocky Rep. Luckily for me I bought the last case of oil at the old price.

Maybe so, but sometimes there are alternatives. Check this - Yamaha has recently decided to put a large price increase on parts for non-current bikes. Seems they've realized the restorer market as a way to have us by the balls. RD350 fork seals are now $35. EACH! Same seals (NOK brand) from K&L Supply are $14.95 for the pair. Vote with your wallets.
