| Thought I would share this craigslist link with you guys. My view is that this guy is a little bit out of touch with reality. http://hartford.craigslist.org/mcy/2722873498.html |

$500 for just the gauges?
$1000 for just a motor?
Wow, yeah, just a little...

| I do not even get that much for any gauge unless they fall into one of two catagories: they are extremely rare and desireable or they are New Old Stock in the box. I do have an interesting experience involving this guy which I find very amusing but I will not share here. As for the motor it should be in the $300-$500 regardless. |

| Now that comment I do find funny, because a while back he was looking for a GS1100 exhaust system. Which I do happen to have in very good condition. I went and checked the price for a NOS one and offered him my used one for $325. He then tells me that the most he is willing to pay is $200 and that I am unflexible, because I am not willing to bargain. Meanwhile he tells me that he is unemployed and he is trying to fix up old bikes so he can make some money. My response to that is tough cookies, if you got the money to buy a GS1000, 2 GS1100's and 4 GPZ's, then you got the cash to spend $325 on a complete exhaust system. Well a week goes by and then I get a email with him showing me a picture of the MAC exhaust that he claims he bought from a Suzuki dealer for $400. He then in this email procedes to tell me that I am a way too over priced retail seller, and that I do not understand the motorcycle business. |

You could not give me a MAC exhaust system for any bike. It is just about like EMGO. Cheapy made but works for a while. The chrome on original is thicker and more durable and the sheet metal is also thicker. We are doing what we're doing and have been doing it well for years. You get one in every crowd. DO NOT let it get to you. That is the type of guy that if you offered him less on his gauges or whatever he would become offended and get upset or bad mouth you. Come on Chocko, you have been in the game long enough not to let a guy like that get to you. There are many of those guys out there. Just smile and walk away. On the other hand, the guy that wrote me a bad check for $545 for a two stroke rebuild on a dirt bike is getting me upset. I now have the sherriff Dept. on it and we are going to press criminal charges and I may take him to small claims court. I trust people and always have but maybe I trust people too much. I am disappointed in society as he has every excuse in the book and I had given him the benefit of the doubt. How we handle these minor setbacks shows what type of business owner we are. Stay calm, be fair, do the right thing, do what you say you are going to do. Hand in there buddy. _________________ You only go around once in life, but if you do it right, once is enough! |

| Honestly, the days of me getting mad at guys for being out of touch with reality are long gone. Now I just use this guy and others like him as live entertainment. As for that Craigslist ad this is not the first time he attempted to try and sell an over priced part or bike. The reason why I am sharing this is I needed to share this one with everyone. |

| In these days most shops expect either payment in cash, money order or credit card. That is if you find a shop that will accept a credit card. |

I don't take credit cards because they charge you a 3% fee so you are getting paid less. And they charge for the credit card processing machine, etc. So I only have one option and that is the green back money system. I have taken checks from people that I "know" but this will stop now due to this guy. I have even had a best friend not pay me. _________________ You only go around once in life, but if you do it right, once is enough! |

| When I first started riding motorcycles, there was always one unsaid rule at any shop, and I was once taken to task by a owner of another shop for not doing this at a meet. The rule is, "Always Pay your Bill" at the shop on time, and if you owe the shop money pay them plus interest. |
