Hi,

I'm restoring some CL160s in Germany, where this bike was never sold. That's why technical information about this bike is pretty rare in my country.

Does anybody know the original Honda color codes for the tanks in candy blue and candy orange?

Thanks for your help,

Alex

I'm not sure about the paint codes as I don't believe there was codes in the '60s for honda's but, all cl160's came with a silver tank, side covers and fenders with black frames in 1966 and were sold into '67. They were kick start only. What you may have is referred to as a CL160D (which is really a cb160 with dealer installed scrambler parts. They came out in '67 and would have been scarlet red, black, blue or silver. The candy colors you are asking about didn't come out until '68 and are the same as used on the cl175 sloper scrambler. Check your vin for a cb160 or if it has electric start it would also have to be a "D" model or a CB160 which someone has converted to a scrambler.
