Whoa guys!! I think that maybe there's a misunderstanding going on here. Stu, I think the question was asked because he REALLY didn't understand the tire/wheel sizing thing and was asking your advise. And soos, I think Stu was defending his knowledge of motorcycles because too many times people will pop into these forums and stir up a bunch of crap by asking some questions just to disagree and then move on (troll?)

I may be completely wrong and full of crap.............if that's the case please disregard this message. Wink

..........Paul

Part of the issue was my failure to notice that Soos isn't the guy who started the thread. He stepped in after I 'splained to the OP. And because he started asking the same questions, and I thought it was the same guy, it appeared to me that he was sharpshooting me. I also couldn't fathom that someone actually thought the rim width was equal to the tire width, so yeah - the troll thing came to mind. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Soos. I hope you have the big picture now.

Stu

Stu

Stu, that's what I thought happened. I knew you misunderstood the question from soos.

Soos, Stu's knowledge of motorcycles is unsurpassed and his willingness to help anyone is well documented in this forum and elsewhere.

Very Happy All is good! Very Happy

I have to claim my share of the blame too. I only read the first two posts, the second of which Stu offered to help the OP find OEM tires. That's where I skipped over the rest and asked for help. Some of the info I was looking for was already posted. It pays to read everything.
