Where are they? Maybe 50 active participants and 3,950 lurkers? My hunch is that a lot of folks sign up and log in to ask one question,
then never view the site again. Most forums have stats like that. As I type this, there are 47 unregistered guests viewing the site and only 7 members.

I'm a lurker, have been for a long long time. I go in and out of it in phases. Only because I can find great information here, and unfortunately don't have anything to add to other peoples projects. Luckily I injured my arm a few weeks ago, and in my down time I was planning on rebuilding the engine on a Suzuki B105P thanks to the information I received here, and the confidence that someone more knowledgeable will be able to help me out if I run into a problem.

Here's a pic of my old '74(?) CB100 that I had around '99 for no reason, just because I can.

Laughing Ain't statistics grand! If you look at the member list and see how many "members" have less then 5 posts, it's amazing. And then look at this one: " We received
15747849
page views since
March 2004" Is that 15 million?? If it wasn't for me checking in about 20 times a day, the number would be a lot lower Laughing

I guess there's nothing wrong with having x amount of members, but like most things, it's not the quanity, it's the quality that counts.

I've kinda dropped back to lurker mode lately, since I'm working on my Triumph and watching the BritBike forum more. When (if) I ever get around to starting on my CB450, I'll be posting here again. Meanwhile I keep watching to see what you guys are up to. There's a lot to be learned here. Anyway, that's probably to the benefit of you regulars, since my posts seem to go on forever. Wink

Thanks so, so much guys. Never did realize this idea would turn into this. Keep using the site for all things, pictures, events, tech tips, sharing our passion, etc. Heck, tell your buddies to join and participate if they feel like it. The goal is to share our passion of vintage jap bikes. The way we do it here is friendly, morally correct, no foul language or sexual influence. Just good discussions about motorcycles. Thanks for keeping it real. I have one or two ideas for this forum but no promises. This is all free and we have a webmaster that is awesome.

I look in about once a day. I don't have much to add mechanically. My main interests concerning motorcycles are the '70s two-stroke triples and enduros. So I keep an eye on the Kawasaki forum. But long work days and trying to keep all my other stuff running doen't leave much time for surfin' the net. Great site and congrats on the milestone!

Others like me...have no real mechanical skills or competence to contribute, but I love looking at and reading about the bikes that were the early part of my 40 plus years of motorcycling thus far.I have however ridden a whole lot of miles on a whole lot of Japanese bikes so it's good to be able to offer a riders perspective sometimes when a thread allows.

You know things. I have no idea what you mean by the previous post. Except for the people that make or have made a living at this most or all their lives ...we only 'have us'. When the professionals come along...all the better....but don't over hesitate to offer an answer...wrong or right...or close. I will stand to be corrected at anytime.... Hi all,
I have started a new club in Australia, Classic & Custom Japanese Motorcycle Club. We wont be putting forum on our site for members but directing the traffic to Here. We felt why reinvent the wheel and system when a community exists.
