one has found me im going to take a look at it..price $300 asking
its titled,spins w good comp,has spark,seat good,paint faded,light coat of rust..
now for the part that scares me...carb slides stuck...
are the carbs made of unobtainium ?? rebuild kits etc....(any member w a decent set of carbs 4 sale ? )
any advice on it...may look at it tommorow

The slides probably need to be cleaned, along with the rest of the carb. Stuff for that bike is a little hard to find but it is out there.

Take a look at the brand of carburetors. If they are Mikuni, you are probably ok for spares or parts. If they are Teikei, then they are probably rotten and porous. Replacements are difficult to find in usable condition. New jets can be bought, but are very limited in size.

If the carbs are indeed Mikuni, then I vote to buy.
Here is a pic I found on the net that's labeled as a YCS1 and it is a Mikuni. I've seen rebuild kits for them online.
YCS1 carb

I am currently working on a '73 RD200 which evolved from the 180 YCS1.
