Does any know the approximate spec for the stock T500 handlebar? Specifically, I was looking for the rise and pull back measurements.

The 76 and 77 models had ugly hi-rise bars. The earlier GT500,GT750,GT250 all used the same bars with the wiring running down the inside. If you are after original then they are still available. I have a T500J 1972 which has the cross brace on the bars. I can measure them if thats the type you are after, otherwise you can go here for originals.

Thanks for the offer to measure your bars but mine is a '75 T500M without the cross brace. I didn't think the wiring ran down the inside of the handlebar on the '75 hence my request for the rise and setback specs so I could source and close replacement at something less than than $85/ea + shipping.

Thanks

Mike

The original bars on my '75 T500M are slightly bent so I don't think I can do you much good. Meant to replace them awhile back but a brand new centerstand popped up on ebay and I bought it instead and have been procrastinating on the bars and bought other stuff. I am pretty sure you could get the answer pretty quick over at the Sundial site. Those bars on that link given above don't look quite right to me...but maybe. Seems like P..Pa..Paul Miller...there, I said it Sad , use to sell the correct ones for $69.00. I could be mistaken and that was at least a couple of years ago. Suzuki is going up on their prices on a lot of items anyway. Good Luck

I have a 75T500 that I'm working right now and I'm pretty sure the bars are original.
The centre section is about 8" centre of bend to centre of bend, the rise is about 7"
and the top or handle grip piece is about 11" I don't find them comfortable original or not.
I'll be looking for something lower and more forward.
You are welcome to these bars for the price of shipping.
