Does this pic help? Not quite sure what you mean by push/pull. Also you had mentioned in the previous post that you had the carbs apart. You may want to check and make sure the starter plungers are screwed in all the way. Good Luck Click on pic to enlarge.

I'd start suspecting obstructed jets (corrosion, dirt, etc.,) if the only way it will run is with the choke engaged. If you've set the idle mixture screws correctly (1 1/2 turns out from being lightly seated) and know the carb is reassembled properly (my needle jet assembly easily pops the retaining spring if I'm not very careful), it sounds to me like there is a fuel supply problem.
The only other related possibility that I can think of is improperly adjusted float levels which don't allow enough fuel through the carb unless the choke is engaged.
It will be interesting to hear what solves this problem.

He asked this question once before. I asked him what he meant by pushing in and pulling out, because the T500 has a choke lever that goes down and up, not in and out. He never answered. http://www.vjmog.com/ftopicp-36555-.html#36555
I suspect he may have an incorrect set of carbs on the bike, or he's using the choke incorrectly.
