I purchased these NOS heads on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I was told they were for an RD200, but they don't fit!!! The spacing of the stud holes are a bit too wide.
Here are the measurents:
The holes for the head bolts measure 52mm across and 65mm front to back (this is from center to center). The diameter of the holes is 10mm. The combustion dome measures 56mm across. The head measures 125mm wide and 175mm from front to back.

Would these fit an RD250...or are they even for a YAMAHA? The only id they have on them is a "Y3" stamped on the bottom. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
-Gabe

Yes, they definitely are DG or a DG rip off. I'm thinking that they may be a rip off since the bottom of these heads is completely flat, while the DG heads seem to have an extra fin crammed in there (you'd have to see the bottom of a DG head to understand what I'm saying!). I'm just trying to figure out what these would fit so I can try and make use of them...they are too cool to sit on the shelf.
Thanks for your comments!

Book-ends, that's what I'm thinking they are good for... you can never have too many...

Okay, so you lay slices of bacon in the fins and bake at 350 for 15 min., knida they same effect as a George Forman grill, I also think the bookend idea is great, even as a desktop letter organizer.......Blue Very Happy

If they are DG, they'd have the logo cast in, IIRC. They were also a higher compression head than stock. Measure the combustion chamber diameter to start with... any idents at all? Part numbers cast in?
