My clymers manual only has torque specs for the cam cover nuts. It doesn't say anything about the left crankcase cover screws or the upper left and right cam cover screws. Do these screws need to be torqued or just make sure they are tight? How hard should they be torqued?

Well, I've never seen a torque wrench for a phillips screw, so I don't know how you'd torque it to any particular value anyway.

I just use an impact driver and make 'em "good and tight". I can't say I've ever stripped a screw using an impact driver either.

Just my two cents... Very Happy

I have been able to but a phillips bit on my torque wrench with a couple of adapters.

I figured they just needed to be good and tight like you said.

Thanks
