I recently bought this bike

It had sat in a shed untouched (and un-prepped) for over 5 years.
I cleaned up everything and got it all un-stuck, gas tank re-lined with epoxy sealer, lots of work.
I finally got it started, however with oil filled in the rear fill plug for the transmission (there are 2 fill plugs).. oil still leaks into the crankcase of the engine and ends up fouling up the plug and blowing oil out the exhaust.

Anyone know what seal inside may have deteriorated allowing oil to leak by, or can anyone help with any 118cc 2-stroke motor repair manual or info? Its got the oil pump on the right side of the motor which a throttle cable pulls in sync with the carb for the 2-stroke oil injection..

Now that is a rare bike. Just goes to show what is still out there if you are willing to look.

Welcome to the VJMOG

If I were you and I really wanted a manual I would not spend another minute looking for one...it has been done. So I would grab this one. I would also first study parts diagrams and see if crank seals are still available for that bike. May also try ebayU.K. BTW, that is a pretty big picture. Shocked Good luck.

EDIT; This is a parts manual...not a service manual but I think they may also have copies of service manuals. (Sellers address in ebay profile)

Thanks.

Someone in Montana has a supposedly good used bottom end to this motor he can get me for $110 shipped.

I also have the '67 bike listed again locally on KSLcars.com for $550 in its current state.

I have this bike and that 83 Honda Nighthawk 650 in first pic which needs a new engine top end, so its just when I get money to fix either or both..

Yeah... and after glancing at the blow up diagram of the motor it looks as though that if you are sure that it is transmission oil getting into the crank chamber and not just too much injection oil then maybe the tranny oil is coming in at the crankchamber wall where the crankcase halves come together. Someone had it apart before maybe and did not seal properly? Idunno

We saw the engine had 2 oil fill holes.
With the drain plug out, we poured a little oil in the front crankcase and soon it started draining out the drain hole.
*so we thought oh, those 2 fill plugs access the same part of the engine, the rear fill plug was covered by the bike's exhaust.*
Filled with the quantity of oil I had originally drained into that front fill plug, I began to kick over trying to start.
--The engine was soon blowing oil out the exhaust fast so that it was leaking out the middle exhaust gasket and leaking down the engine..
Of course plug fouled quick blowing all that oil so it never fired.
So the next time, after draining all oil out, then cleaned the spark plug and trying again, got it started!
It ran for maybe 1min 30sec then died, wouldn't start after that. Plug was fouled, but haven't been able to get it started any time after that.
After that I re-filled quantity of oil into the REAR fill plug on the crankcase. Trying to start, for a little while with no luck... THEN it started blowing oil out the crankcase again and fouling up the plug fast..

this is what led me up to current conclusions.

If I end up continuing to fix, I'll probably try this other guy's bottom end for $110 first. Only thing about that is I probably need to be carefull to re-use cylinder base and head gaskets...

I'd love to get a piston manufacturer to custom make me a 135cc or something 11:1 compression piston that I can use in the engine, along with an expansion pipe exhaust, make a TON more than stock 11hp..
The bike is awesome @ only 200lbs

Have you looked to see if the that 'drain plug' is not for the crankchamber only. Then look for 'the' tranny drain plug. I am not sure what that is in front you are putting the oil down in.

Edit; Oh...This is what you have, right?

Yep that is it.
There is only one drain plug underneath.

Had to ask about a possible drain for the crankchamber...on the '75 T500 there are two crankchamber drains, one below each cylinder and one drain bolt for the tranny and one drain bolt to drain the remaining oil in the clutch area. It sounds like your like the oil could be just being sucked in through a shot rightside crank seal.

Edit: I know you have the bike up for sale but you may want to see if you can match up the old one with some new seal if the original is not available.

(no oil in the engine at all, real quick start and drive then kill)

using this pic you actually have 3 seals to worry about, this one (arrow) engine sucks air resulting in running lean, low compression hard starting, (probably same size as the other side) might want to measure it, ID shaft dia., OD case hole dia., and thickness, might find a match at auto supply, if it's bad it will suck in tranny oil fouling plug ect. and the 3rd is the gasket between the case halves will exhibit same symptoms as the 2nd primary seal....... probably one fill plug and the other is the crankcase breather

If you decide to keep the bike or for the next owner.....LH seal and RH seals are at least showing available.

If you need some bolt torque specs I have a few for that bike I can post if you wind up working on the bike.

http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm?fpg=/clas/1967%20B100,B105P,KT120/21.htm

Is the case stamped with the amount of oil to put in the tranny?

If I am reading this right there are two drain plugs....one for the crankchamber (Go to the crankcase diagram).

It's not stamped with the amount of oil to put in trans.
Regardless right now, if there is any oil put in the engine anywhere it ends up blowing it out the exhaust and fouling the plug..
