I have a couple of early '70s Yamahas that have chrome steel covers over the dust boots on the fork sliders. Ineed to remove them to change the fork seals. I absolutley cannot get them to budge. The rubber boot underneath them is pretty hardened. I don't see myself being able to remove them without destroying the metal covers, which I'd like to avoid. Anyone have any tips?
