I just came across this thread.hadn't been following it because the subject heading didn't catch me. It was interesting reading it through and seeing examples of how things can get side-tracked, and how offence can be taken when none was intended.Good to see it sorted eventually.

We all reveal a great deal of ourselves in how we express things and what we choose to respond to.It is fascinating reading this site from the other side of the planet to the bulk of the forum members and developing a virtual relationship with members through their postings.

I'm probably not the only member of this forum who read some postings avidly not because of the specific motorcycle content but because its like catching up on on old friends.Sometimes you get a surprise and sometimes you can predict what some-one is going to say and it is somehow re-assuring when it turns out just that way.

Gents,
I merely suggested a group hug for a couple of you guys that seem to have sorted things out.
Actually, I don't do group hugs, you guys are all sewed up wrong for my taste. It just seemed appropriate at the time.
Best,
Phil Mr. Green

Before I learned about the wonder product...Permatex, I used Preparation H (Honda) on my CA95 resto. Honda has been making the stuff for years but not all that impressed with it....Still "bleeds" a little oil. Sad

Just like painting anything.......preparation of the surface is most of the work. KNOWN GOOD MATING SURFACES and COMPLETELY FREE of any sealant/gasket and any type of film.
