There's a 1976 Kawasaki KZ750 on my local craigslist. I don't know much about these Kawasaki twins. It looks decent in the photos and the price is right. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This One?
I drove a '75 Z1900 for several years. It was fine. Big heavy (full fairing and luggage crap). Frame was too flexible, got speed wobble once, nearly killed me. Other than that....fine. Oh wait, that was 4, not much in common. I'll shut up now. _________________ recently acquired '72 CB500K Jeff |

Dave
I pondered over that bike as well. Price seems right, but you shouldn't be looking at any more bikes 'til you get that street tracker on the road. As a matter of fact, you should not even be permitted to view craigslist at this point.......Clearly, you're losing focus!!

Dave | Couldn't find the '76 you're looking at, but I found this one near Grand Rapids. http://centralmich.craigslist.org/mcy/1609398851.html
I was a service manager for Kawasaki when these lovely bikes were thrust on the public. They're the smoothest 750 twin you'll ever ride (counter balanced), and the most gutless. Large, comfy, and smooth. Good touring bike if you just want to get from A to B. You'll love changing the oil filter. It's mounted horizontally in the left side of the crankcase, just above the rider's foot peg. Lets just say your left peg will never rust. Quality control on the first year engines ('76) was spotty.

I didn't buy it after all. Nobody else is claiming responsibility for buying it either. Come on?
