Hello all, iI have finally dug into the 67 yds5 that I pulled out of grandmama's barn. Going to have to split the cases, so the generator and it's rotor need to come off. The generator was easy, two screws. The rotor is a taper fit onto the crankshaft and it is ON there. The manual states to use a slide hammer, which I have been. There is really no way to get any heat at the shaft, you can't really hammer on the rotor, and penetrating fluid has proved a futile attempt. There are two possible spots to thread the slide hammer into, a larger bolt that threads into the rotor, and a smaller diameter one, farther inside, which I think would be the crank itself. I am going with the larger, outside thread(I hope that's right). Any suggestions?
