Hello, all.
I have been having a hard time finding a petcock to suit a suzuki GT250 X7, does anybody know if there is another make or model I can get one from that will fit?
Wreckers seem to have no idea what will work parts wise, from other bikes!
have included a photo of my progress so far....

| What about a GT380? I believe they had a similiar petcock. During the 70's a lot of the petcocks would fit at least two or three other bikes.

| Post a picture of the OEM and we can help you better-is it round threads to the tank or a racetrack shaped seal? Is it diaphragm or not? more info please...

even cmsnl is confused on this one guys a X7 should be a 1978 but they jump from 77 to 79 and list about three different petcocks depending on serial number don't you just love a challenge

Thanks for the tips,
but considering the cost of petcocks on ebay, I may just take the tank around a few of the wreckers and just go through the stock.
Even genuine parts are pricey, once postage is included.
thanks for the feedback though!
cheers

I took a punt on ebay and bought one of these, and it fit great, only trouble being I had to grind a bit off the lever to stop it rubbing against the petrol tank.
Suzuki TM75 TM100 TM125 TM250 TM400 TS50 , TS75 , TS90 , TS100 , TS125 , TS185 , TS250 , TS400
And it is cheap compared to genuine.
cheers, Mr Blackstock
