Sorry, no float height in book only float level (gas level) 2-4mm from carb body(OEM Manual). If your having problems those floats are notorius for going bad. They will look good, float in gas and still not work.

Thanks, and sorry, Embarassed I should have disabled posting.
For anyone else interested, the level on those 26mm carbs is 26mm. Easy for an old guy like me to remember.
That was taken directly from a Mikuni directory.
Also, it may be worthy to note that (unlike the way I was taught to measure...) that measurement is not from the base the gasket sits on, but from the edge of the flange to the bottom of the float. whatever
