Will a 1973, 1974 work for you? Have you seen that complete headlight assembly for a 74 on ebay?

the 72 should have a plastic bucket as far as i know..(and that one is a bit pricey ) id like to keep it proper as im probably going to sell the
bike after a few repairs and a good clean up..i was hoping a board member may have a parts bike...or an ebay link is welcome also..
im watching one on ebay alsohttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110379583977&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
it looks like the proper one..im a bit wary of the distance to me...lol

the only known issues on it are rusty inner pipes..ive already got replacements..and a bent r fork ear.(have replacement )
the last is to replace the broken headlight bucket

I do have the parts you need, but right now I am sort of busy with packing the truck with parts for the AMCA meet at Rhinebeck, NY next week. If you are willing to wait I might be able to help you.

What color are you looking for? I believe the one I have is a reddish color, similiar to the one in the pics and I believe I do have everything for that bike includeing the airbox.

Send me a message after Rhinebeck we can discuss the particulars. As for what I want for the stuff, my prices are very reasonable considering what it goes for NOS.

No help here...but I tried a few places you may not know about. How many online salvage yards have you tried? Have you tried just "Googling" the part numbers one at a time? Be amazed what you can come up with sometimes, if you don't already know about that. I was also curious about what happened to the front fender braces. Thought someone down the line may have removed it to try to put together a 1968 T500 Cobra front fender assembly. ( Have seen just a new or rechromed fender/no braces go for $800 on ebay. No expert on that bike..but those braces look similar. I thought for a moment that I might have a used chromed plastic backplate housing for you, off the T500.
Same perimeter shape...lens in a diagram looked the same also. But your housing is set up for two bulbs, right? I believe I read you were going to sell the bike soon anyway....I guess you don't want to put it on the market as is? Well, Good Luck in your quest...I will try a few more places while I am looking for stuff too, Good Luck
