| Winner gets a free ride on a 1973 Kawasaki S2 350cc triple two stroke. What is the correct shift pattern for this machine????? No clues, don't want to sway the answers. Thanks. |

Hmmm.....
I want two guesses - either 5 up, or
round and round and round - no actual stop the the top or bottom - 1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3 etc.
I remember reading about such a bike somewhere - if you were in 5th and grabbed another gear, you found yourself in big trouble. Can't belive it was ever true, and I can't remember where I read it. One of the many motorcycle magazines I get over the years.

| I had an S2 back in '72 but darn I can't recall the shift pattern. I am going to say 5 up. I wouldn't mind riding that old triple again. |

Cool! It shouldn't need a whole lot of work if it was running previously. My H2 lives happily on a diet of AmsOil Dominator 2-cycle racing oil and 112 octane VP C-12(available from the pump there in Havasu) and runs great. _________________

Kirk | 90cc and 100cc Bridgestones used rotary gear shift and yes you only wanted to do it once, if it didn't blow the gears and cases it sure sounded like it wasn't for lack of trying |
