Sunday May 24th will be race number one hundred (#100) in the Missouri Vintage MX Series. 11 years in the making, so the whole weekend in Greenwood, MO is going to be picked up a bit compared to a usual race weekend.

Saturday May 23rd

We will start Saturday the 23rd off again with the 1 hour vintage Hare Scramble. Classes for Vintage and PV, Novice, Int and Expert also one disc class and a kids class for those over 12

Second event of the day will be the Vintage Trial. With splits for novice and advanced riders. Any twin shock, air cooled bike is legal.

Event #3 will be the return of the Holeshot / drag races. Classes for 50cc, Mini 2 stroke, Mini 4 stroke, 100, 125, 250 and Open

Event 4 of the day will be the new Father / son race. Of course this includes any combination of parent / child. Classes will be based on youth age and machine. Class 1 is peewee bikes, all 50cc kids 4 - 10 year olds and parents share same bike, Class 2 is all 65cc and up mini's. Kids up to 16 and parents share same bike, class 3 will be big bike, kids over 16 and parent share same bike.

Of course there will be the normal swap meet stuff in the pits all day and a large bonfire somewhere around sundown

Sunday May 24th

The fourth round of the MOVMX season which will include MOVMX race #100. This is also the 3rd round of the new USVMX National Vintage series. This will be a full day of racing, see MOVMX.COM for details.

Sante Fe Vintage Motorcycle club will be having a ride-in Bike show with several nicely redone vintage street machines to check out during the 12 to 4 pm time frame.

Another addition for the Memorial day weekend festivities in Greenwood, MO is the Vintage Iron MX school. This will be on Friday for those that would be interested and able to make it.
Rick did this class last time he was here a few years ago and the feedback on the class was all positive. It will cover techniques in starts, cornering, jumping and most importantly braking. Plus the proper way to walk a track and all other aspects of the race day. Cost is $125 per person. Remember, one of the safest ways to race is be as educated about it as possible. You never know enough that you can't learn a little more. To sign up for the Vintage Iron MX schoot on Friday May 22nd call Curtis at 816 797 2753

So make sure you make plenty of time to be in Greenwood, MO for Memorial Day weekend. We have worked a long time to get to MOVMX race #100. Show up and help make it a big one. MOVMX.COM for info and directions.

Thanks,
Curtis.
