Thought I would post some pic's of my finished gauges , I had an extra set of gauges for my 76 DT400 so I opened them up and swaped parts to make one good set . I cleaned the faces up and gave them a light coat of 303 and used a red Sharpie to go over the red line area . Thanks to jayel for his advise on doing this it went pretty well .

Here is a deal I made to help hold the gauge while I worked on them .

I used a small screwdriver to get under the crimped ring and open it up .

I used the table and clamp on my drill press to crimp the ring back down , I added a piece of banding over the ring to allow the clamp to slip and it helped to distribute the force of the clamp over a little larger area .

And one other product from " SHAFTCO "

I had a hell of a time working on the fender trying to hold it while filling , sanding , priming , etc. so I came up with this deal and lined with visqueen so I can wet sand in the warm garage with out the mess.
