Going back to your past electrical issue, even tho' it seems fine for now, I would be looking at ALL of the connectors on the bike. Weird or intermittent electrical issues are almost always in the harness at the connectors. When the bike is on and running, touch and feel, any connectors that get hot, get replaced. Also, feel the wires for hard spots or scuffed/worn insulation. Hard spots = major resistance = replace the wire. Also clean and check all of your grounds. These bikes are notorious for bad grounds. A little maint. on the electricals while it's running goes a long way to keep it so.
I just went through my GS850G and replaced all of the bullet style connectors with blade style, and replaced two wires that had gone hard. I was having odd electrical issues before I did it, I don't now. I also run my coils through a relay, so they always get the full 12V they need... _________________ One day at a time, many dollars at a time... I love my GS850G money vacuum. "If it aint broke, don´t fix it"... What if it´s always broke, and so are you??
