Hello, I am new to scooters and even newer to old rusty things...
OK, her are the questions.. What is this thing? How can I test to make sure the oil injection works?
I could not find a good vin decoder but here is the Vin: k10-423180

I am taking the motor to a friend with a machine shop to make me a new right side cover to replace the missing one. Next project is track down some cables. All of the rust is just surface rust (so far) so next plan of action is to strip the bike and get it repainted.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I would say you can find a reasonable stock replacement cover for less than your buddy can fab one for you.
It would be the real thing too.
I saw several right and left side engine covers and lots on NOS goodies here:

Welcome to VJMOG,
That's a nice find. I believe you're correct as to it being a 1967 K10p "Corsair". Take lots of pics when disassembling to help with re-assembly. You may have some pitting from rust you'll want to replace, such as headlight ring. Many parts should cross reference for fitment. Run a little pre-mix (40-1) when starting, until you can verify operation of injection system. Hold pump lever open and watch for bubbles to move along tubing or color change if you use a different color oil then what may be in your tank now. Then discontinue pre-mix as you must use the factory injection system on Suzuki's. I recommend staying with Suzuki CCI oil though.
Keep us updated

I have been all over the internet looking for a restoration thread about this bike but have not found one. Looks like its my responsibility to do one now. Yes, lots of pics will be taken.

If anyone has a shop manual or a pdf of a manual it would be greatly appreciated.

Its even been a slow day at work, managed to clean up the head lamp bezel, sand blast the rust off, fill the pits and next its going flat black. Because of the amount of pitting on the chrome, I am going to fill and paint all of the pieces except the exhaust matte black. And go with either a deep red or light blue for the rest of the bike.

Pics to follow

Did some testing over the weekend and it lives. Used a vitamin water bottle to gravity feed the carb. Fired it up and it runs smoothly. Disassembly to follow. Will need to clean and seal the gas tank...

Always good to hear a bike come back alive after years of decaying. Now you can get on with the cosmetic work. Just don't use a Kreem kit for the tank. I just got my C2TR fired up from years of hibernation with the first kick, this week-end (required some electrical work and the usual carb cleaning) and it always put a smile on my face.

I think POR makes a product for sealing a gas tank which I will give a shot. Going to dismantle and start stripping parts tonight... fun times ahead.

POR is a very good product. I also reccomend Red Kote. Just make sure that you follow the directions on label with POR. It is very important.

My general advice about tank restoration is go easy.....i.e. less aggression is better than too much.......if your true intent is to save the tank.
If you start with less chancy and aggressive potential solutions, you can always go on to other options.
If you screw up, you'll be looking for another tank.
That's where the "specialty parts sellers" I keep hearing about (via PMs here @ VJMOG) enter the picture, front and center.

If you really want to try to save the tank, don't overextend your range, abilities, and knowledge about what "might" happen if you make an aggressive, overly proactive move to solve things forthwith......like in a day or two.
Think about the phrase "haste makes waste".
