That is a 1974 Z-1 900 Kawasaki. All I am going to say is that it is hard to find a "reasonably" priced Z-1. Good luck.

Z-1 Very Happy Looks like a great project for someone. I would try to get some idea of what the current owner wants, letting /her him set the price. My worst "best offer" deal was where I found out about a field car (Amphicar), talked to the owner who said "make an offer", drove my family out to look at it, pondered for a few days, presented what I thought was a reasonable offer and was cursed over the phone for "insulting" the owner by being ten times too low! I hope your not dealing with that guy Twisted Evil

Good Luck!

Larry

It looks like a pretty straight machine, original paint, not all "1970ed out." I have to agree with OL55, you need to feel the seller out to get a ballpark figure on what they want for it. Maybe they'll surprize you and say $500. If not, I'd shoot a $1000 figure at them plus or minus a few hundred depending on the condition of the chrome and the extra motor.

Good luck! Let us know what happens.

Pet Peeve #301. "Best Offer" by the seller. That is Bull in my opinion. My best offer is $1 and the seller thinks he has gold spokes. Come on. The seller must start with a price he is thinking about. Pet Peeve #302: No price on signs when item is for sale. Come on. We don't need to waste each others time if we are not even close. Example: Why did the guy spend 45 minutes kicking tires on my Seca 900 when bottom line he wasn't even going to come close to my asking price with an offer? Geeezzz. That was weird. There's fishing and there is not even getting in the lake.

Jeez, I've had that happen more times than I can count! Guy comes out, kicks the tires, takes a ride, asks questions, chit chats, pisses away an HOUR, then offers 50% what I'm asking, and won't budge a penny. Waste of a good evening...

When it seems like a deal too good to be true, it usual is. Don't get deals much like you used to. A Kaw Z-1 restored is going for $10,000 now a days. There were 8 of them at Johnny's booth at Mid-Ohio. Out of my price range. Hey dor, you are funny with your internet gadgets. Cool meter man!

Wow! The famous Kawasaki 350 Triple, don't see those every day. Not even three of them in the same place.
