Hello and welcome to the site. I was looking through your photos of parts and saw a tail light with a sticker from McGovern's Cycle on it. I grew up a couple of blocks away from McGovern's and spent a lot of time there dreaming of the day when I'd be old enough to be able to ride a motorcycle.
It brought back great memories and I'm curious as to how it got to where you are.
Dave

Thanks for the welcome.

If you get a chance, could you post a couple of more pics (full side view,et. of the rear fender? Member 'Typan' was looking for a rear fender I believe for his GT250. Not sure if this one will work but maybe worth a shot or do you already know what bike it is off of?
Edit: Actually the tail light combination does not look right for it to be a GT250 rear fender. This looks earlier. Could you post additional pics anyway? Thanks

@dorT500
Here are the pictures you asked for.
EDIT: I did some looking on the microfiche and it looks like the fender/tail light assembly fits a 1968 T500-1, 1969 T500-1, 1970 T500-1?

McGovern's Suzuki out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Awesome, I raced against guys sponsored from there and Greg McGovern ran the place and raced too. It was a nice dealership in the 70's where kids could dream about someday owning the ultimate motorcycle. PS: You have a bunch of Suzuki stuff there.

Thanks for the extra pics. Just taking a wild shot that it might be a Cobra rear fender. Also, the 'fender brackets' are actually' grab rails' for a back seat. Not real familiar with the shape/mounting of a T500 Cobra rear fender other than the tapered/flair bottom of the fender at the back. That one is not one from what I can see. Member 'Typan' might do a search to see if that fender fits the previous bikes you mentioned, might fit his GT250. I thought I saw a matching application between his bike and the ones you mentioned. Could be wrong...have been looking at a lot of different stuff lately.

| That Fender is Cobra. I know because I have a Cobra gas tank and a pair of side covers. It took me three years to properly identify them. The brake light will also fit Suzuki X-6 Hustlers, but I am not sure about the cross refrence on the fender tho.
