Sorry, the spare salvage carbs I just took apart do not have the choke rod ( like you said..easy enough to make one) and only one had a float. No adjustment screws on the rightside carb either. It is getting late and I will check the float out better tomorrow evening.

The float looked pretty bad at first (all varnished and just a hint of corrosion but has cleaned up nicely with carb cleaner and a scotchbrite pad. Nice and shiny now..looks almost new. It has about a 3/8 " round shallow dimple on one side. I have had it completely submerged in rubbing alchohol for two hours now and as before I cleaned it...on shaking it I don't hear any liquid in it. It appears new floats are still available. Bikebandit shows them for about twenty dollars but I would check with your local dealer first to confirm availability and then if available, ask them to match (or sometimes even less) Bikebandit's price if their price is higher. You will save on shipping too if you get it from a dealer. At least that is what I do on all parts I buy from a Suzuki dealership. On that choke linkage rod. I find it hard to believe that it was the original rod. Unless it was at the thin walls of the attachment holes where it broke? Maybe a previous repair job? If you wind up replacing the sliders jet needles, I would get them from Suzuki also as and other carb parts as opposed to aftermarket. I was wondering the condition of the inside of your tank and if you have added inline fuel filters if rust might be an issue. Let me know what you want to do about the spare float I have or if you just want to buy a new one. Good luck.

I'm sorry, I thought I got back to you in a private message. Thanks for the offer of the float but I'll work with I have and if to replace it, I'll get one from the dealer.

Thanks again for all your help.
