As you might guess by my avatar I watch the Oscars with a bias.
For those who missed it the film to the left won:
1. Best Picture
2. Best Director
3. Best Screen Play
Not bad huh! Jack did a pretty good job as a Whitey Bulger type. The worst Boston accents were on the 2 guys from Boston (Matt Damon & Mark Whalberg). _________________ |

I thought they'd ban Scorsese forever after "Gangs of New York". What a dog!! Good to see he still has his chops....
I was happy to see Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren, and Alan Arkin win. All excellent actors and not some passing fad... _________________ 81 CB900c |

What's funny is I worked on the Oscars and I have no idea who won what. Got the hat and I'm ordering the jacket. _________________ |

Gene, I read you were there and also guessed as with MNF you had no idea of the winners.
I have to say my wife is the culture vulture in the family. We actually saw "Pans Labrinth" and I kinda liked it (it was all in spanish with sub-titles). It won a couple of of Oscars and I was the only one in my office that even heard of it.

I paid to see that piece of shit & walked out! I guess everyone is entitled to a muligan. The Last King of Scotland is the next film I'm seeing.
Don't get the wrong idea though I still love wrenching on the bike, just need to keep the peace. _________________ |

I can vouch for Scorsese being a nice guy though, and his daughter is a knockout _________________ |

Here's my current hat... it's a limited edition now but they will be available in bulk in a few weeks
I'm just a crew guy, but I can fill out a hat

click pics
BTW, Scorsese is genius. He hides it so well.
The guy that really gets me going is George Clooney, he's funny as hell. All the other characters in this picture I took at work aren't bad either.
This is my ultimate hero... Go ahead... make my day
Hell, the guy on his right directed Titanic!!!

James Cameron's major claim to fame (besides directing the Terminator movies) is he was married to the GODDESS Linda Hamilton.
I would dead lift the CBX formerly known as mine for a date with her. (I hear she's on the market. I know I am) _________________ 1982 Kawasaki KZ1000R1 ELR

I need new boots!
Thanks guys. At least at the Guild they don't bug me for taking pictures. The Academy is very sticky about it.
Those pics were taken at the Directors Guild Theatre I during "Meet the Nominees".
I've been doing it 12 years, but missed the last one because I was in Miami for the SuperBowl ESPN studio shows on location.
I kind of missed hangin with the Directors, but I couldn't really turn down 4 months of work for 2 days. _________________ |

Here's one I took this evening from the mixing console about 80 feet from the stage...
Good old what's his name. I like to refer to him as "The Master of the Universe"!
George Lucas
He's got some major kind of heels on those boots there.
The "Master's" Boots
This was a very good day. He is very interesting and downright humble.
What an incredible task to be the "Master" and so humble and he handles it so transparently.
Oh, to have such a burden.
His main message was to be persistent. That's it. Persistence. Come to think of it, he should own an old Japanese motorcycle. _________________ |

He never won an Oscar but my guess is he made more money then any other producer/director to date! _________________ |

Spielberg is pretty close, but I'm guessin Lucas is the Master of income too. Has his own town, police force, the whole schmageggie.
George and Steve aparently talk quite a bit, he kept refering to him during the interview, like Steve this or Steve that.
I'll bet between the two of them, they've made close to as much as all the rest put together, if not more. _________________ |

I would like to meet Clint myself. And the master of the Universe would be fun to talk to as well. The Departed was a good movie. Better than I thought it would be. And I always like Jack. Not a lot of people do. But he plays a great nut. Been enjoying him since One Flew over, to The Shining up to today. I would like to get to talk to him too. But, I don't expect that to happen.
Another one of my on screen Hero's would be Steve McQueen. Met his brother who is a lot like him from what I hear. Cool guy, and he looked like him too. _________________ Some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill them.
