Thanks, Steve
It wasn't too hard, I've been very lucky (Knock on Wood).
Here's how it worked.
1. Retired the first time with State pension 2001
2. Work another ten years double dipping. Time to get fat!
3. Have the wife drawing a good salary and paying for health insurance.

I've been in the Mechanical Engineering field also, mostly Commercial Heating and AC.
Hopefully things will turn around for you and we get this economy going again. Best wishes

You are my kind of guy. Do you do any off road riding in Colorado? I went on road bikes in 2004 and loved it and would like to try some back roads and two tracks. Maybe on the way to Moab, Utah. You and I are alot alike. Keep in touch. My regular email is stevesearles [at] hotmail [dot] com

Hey, I just got a 1970 L5TA 100 for my first bike. I'm expected to rebuild it and use it to commute from school and back. I am wondering how hard of a project this will be and even if it's completely worth it. Pics to come.

I just picked up a '69 L5 as well... couldn't pass up on free! I definitely have my work cut out for me as its all seized up. Im relatively new to working on motorcycles so i figure worst case scenario i learn a lot while trying to get it going. I don't plan on dumping much money into it, just think it would be a fun toy to have sitting in my garage.
