Like the title says, the oil drain plug on my '72 CB350 will not budge. I used my big 1/2" drive socket on my 24" breaker bar with an additional pipe for leverage - and it still won't move. Soaked it with PB Blaster. Nothing. What should I try next??

Try a little heat with a blow torch but be careful not to melt the rubber coating from the electrical harness. Then try a little a PB blast immediately afterwards.

A good hard ride on mine for about a half hour heated up the oil and engine enough to make my stubborn plug break free. You may want to try that before torching it. More fun that way.

Yea I tried it initially after a long hard ride with no luck. I guess I'll break out the torch but that always makes me nervous.

Has anyone ever compared Aerokroil to PBlaster? I've always used PBlaster but honestly it never seems like it does anything for me.

Both AeroKroil and PB blast are great products, the only difference is that one will work faster then the other. Not to mention both do not freeze when it gets cold.

I would put a big 1/2" drive 6 point socket on there with an extension on breaker bar if I was having that much trouble with a simple drian plug.

The torch is the way to go.

A little rose bud tip and heat it up nice (careful of wires) and it should break loose...

Make sure though that you heat up the area around the bolt, not the bolt itself.

My CL350 drain plug was a bit of a bitch to get out but, it came out with my regular Snap-On wratchet.
Can you fit an impact gun under there?

I don't want to insult you, but is it possible that you're trying to turn the plug in the wrong direction? With a cheater pipe on a 24" breaker bar, I can't imagine it wouldn't loosen. Take it to someone with a 1/2" pneumatic impact gun and a 6-point socket, but I'd suggest not taking a welding torch to it.

KROIL is the best penetrate know to man! Better than PB Blaster. Expensive so I only use it for special, stubborn projects. Let it sit 15-20 minutes and then try again. Heat and then spray, it sucks in and gets in pores where others don't. Free up stuck rings and pistons, amazing.
