2009 VJMC Michigan Rally-June 20-21

The VJMC will be hosting a Vintage Motorcycle Rally at Grattan Raceway on June 20-21. There will be a vintage ride on Sat., parade lap on the track, swap meet and bike show on Sunday. All are welcome. Admission to the track will be required. Overnight tent camping allowed. Flagman for the AHRMA racing is needed. Im really wanting to go to this event but will only have time to do the Saturday date. Im in Port Huron and if anyone wants to ride over with me, that'd be cool. One of my local friends, (doesnt own a vintage bike) might be able to go.

I'd like to leave for Grattan early Saturday morning, 7ish, and leave the event around 5-6pm. Looks to be about a 3 hour ride to the Grattan.

What's cool is that I found my CB750 in Greenville last year, not far from Grattan.

Supposed to be 75 degrees and sunny. Good excuse for a ride. Wait till you see the vintage racers going around the track. Pretty cool. Hope to have some nice bikes there as well, even if they are just mine! I am pumped. (We are going into Greenville on our vintage ride on Sat. on noon.)

Saturday Forecast is now, Partly cloudy, 76 degrees and 20% chance of rain!

And I got a riding buddy to ride over with. Things are looking good!

Another weather update for tomorrow:

50% rain until noon. This sucks. Looks like it's going to be nice all day on the west side. But on the east, I cant take the risk of running into some rain.

Weather is supposed to be great both Sat. and Sunday after the storm rolls thru Friday night. Keep watching the radar.

Making it a family day on Sunday! Wife & son coming for the races, swap meet ...etc. I'll be on my CBX. Looking forward to meeting some new faces! Local weather is showing sunny & high 70's..
