Hey guys,
I thought I'd just say a quick hello from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a small-time rider; I just have my 1980 Honda CB250RS and I'm happy (for now)! It runs real nice now (I've done my best to maintain it) so the next step will just be some aesthetic work.
But as the only person in my family that rides, and as a female who happens to be 5 years younger than my bike, I don't find too many opportunities to talk to likeminded souls, let alone troubleshoot some of the problems I've faced to get it back on the road again!
So thanks for having me here - I looking forward to meeting with you all, sharing experiences, and a little help now and then too!
If there's anyone else from South Australia be sure to drop me a line!
Cheers!

| Welcome. I have a big soft spot for single cylinder bikes. Those were one of the great ones! You will learn so much more about riding when you are dealing with modest power.Enjoy!

| Cheers guys! Agreed about single cylinders. The other handy thing with this one is just how accessible everything is. Its a great bike to learn all your rudimentary motorcycle mainenance on, if that makes sense!

| It does to me. Probably doesn't to the legions of baby boomers 'returning' to riding and causing the motorcycle death toll to skyrocket. If it did some of them would be making better choices of bike to make their return on.

| Ha ha - too right! I think there is a general assumption across much of our contemporary western culture that the more complex something is, the better it must be. Though, of course, that's not to say that if I were offered something big, new and shiny I wouldn't enjoy that too!

| A few of my favorite bikes are under 500CC's and single cylinder (even tho I do love my multis), don't knock a small bike until you try one.

No..No..No....I am sorry...I was not referring to size of the bike at all, merely the simularity of ladies having fun on bikes in the 60's and now. I am sorry if anyone else took it differently.....

| Welcome CloudSparrow and isn't this a cool forum. I love how we have branched out to all over the world and now we are getting diverse. I love female motorcycle enthusiasts and you seem like you enjoy bikes and riding just like the rest of us. Something about the freedom and rebel in all of us. Motorcyclists are a unique breed. We love having your company. I cannot even imagine what Australia is like. I would like to ride dirt bike in the outback. I don't even know if the CB250 is available in any form in the US. Cool bike and keep posting. We would love to hear your perspective on stuff. WELCOME! Steve Searles, Moderator.
